Farber, Ph.D. | Partner | Clinical PsychologistDr. Edward Farber provides diagnostic and therapeutic psychological services to children, adolescents and adults from primarily a cognitive behavioral perspective. A licensed clinical psychologist in Virginia, Maryland and DC, Dr. Farber is involved in clinical practice, teaching and research. Dr. Farber is on faculty at the George Washington University School of Medicine. Formerly the Chair of Psychology at the Ohio State University Pediatrics Department and Columbus Children's Hospital, Dr. Farber draws upon academic expertise in his clinical practice to provide a broad range of clinical services. His doctorate is from Ohio State with further training at New York University Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital and Children's Hospital. A partner with Reston Psychological Center, Dr. Farber recognized the need for specialized services for families in transition or conflict and founded Reston Family Center to provide pre-divorce counseling, custody evaluation, visitation mediation and directed co-parenting interventions. Dr. Farber has published professionally, lectured nationally and received multiple research grants. He has served on several national and local community boards. Involved in youth sports, Dr. Farber coaches recreational and travel baseball and softball teams. Arnold C. Small, Ph.D. | Partner | Diplomate in Clinical PsychologyDr. Arnold Small received a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island with a specialty in child-clinical psychology. Dr. Small was on the faculty at George Mason University where he taught and published in the areas of psychological assessment, eating disorders and children’s emotional and behavioral disorders. He also specializes in evaluations and treatment for Bariatric Surgery patients. Dr. Small is a founding partner in Reston Psychological Center where he has maintained a private practice in clinical psychology for over 30 years. Dr. Small treats and assesses the full range of child and adolescent disorders. Dr. Small also works with adults with an emphasis on men’s and women’s depression and affective disorders. He conducts individual and family psychotherapy and the full range of diagnostic assessments, including psychological and psycho-educational testing. Madeline Petrizzi Jurich, LCSW, ACSW | Diplomate in Clinical Social WorkMadeline Petrizzi Jurich is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 18 years post-masters experience. She is a graduate of Adelphi University in NY, where she received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Social Work. Madeline is a Diplomat in Clinical Social Work (DCSW) and a Member of the Academy of Social Workers (ACSW). Madeline has been at RPC since 1995. She has also worked as a Family Therapist in the Alexandria District Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Service Unit and at a community mental health center in NY. At RPC, she works with children, adolescents and adults. Natalie M. Waggener, Ph.D. | Licensed Clinical Psychologist Dr. Natalie Waggener graduated with a bachelor's degree from Northwestern
University. She earned a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill and then completed an internship at the V.A. Medical Center
in Richmond. As a clinic leader at a Community Services Board, she oversaw
outpatient therapy and assessment services to children, adolescents, and
adults in a fast-growing area. Dr. Waggener went into private practice
in 1999 and moved to the Northern Virginia area three years ago. |
